You’ve found that the UTF-8 implementations in MySQL (utf8mb4), NodeJS and PostgreSQL all have trouble with your task? It’s unlikely all three UTF-8 implementations have similar bugs. The problem is somewhere else — beyond the scope of this blog post :).
